Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja has made a history in Malayalam film industry…paving its golden way to unmatchable glory of all times…I strongly feel I should thank director Hariharan and crew for gifting the brilliant spectators of Kerala with such a great movie…

I managed to get the ticket online two days back…Since then,I was anticipating the prospect of watching this movie as I had already received many a lot comments about this…I had even heard some comments like Mammotty, the hero, has only less dialogues and sequences, slightly against what we expect from a hero…But when I watched the movie,I knew all those predictions were wrong, thoroughly….

I would say each and every character in this movie has done their parts to the best they can…n they are best too…In the whole picture, not a single character will stand against this opinion…(Jagadeesh’s character can be one exception anyway)…

    Pazhassiraja

Mammootty is really superb in this movie…Unlike much of the super hero films,we can feel a maturity in Mammooty’s acting in this film…not many punch dialogues,no act of over heroism,no circuses with tough words which normal man would never have really heard of…He is calm but bold, kind but brave, simple but superior ruler…His looks, style of walking, way of speech everything is just like a real ruler…I doubt anyone else currently existing in malayalam film world can depict “Lion of Kerala” better than Mammootty….

The Mammootty sequences which I liked much include the fight sequence with ‘urumi’ at the verge of getting caught by East India Company soldiers, fighting alone at the enemy’s place at night following the hanging of Chanthu(Manoj.K.Jayan) and ofcourse the climax sequence, where the view of atmosphere itself matches to the feeling audience might have…

Another important character standing shoulder to shoulder with Mammotty is SarathKumar’s character…His action scenes are worth watching…Ofcourse you should be ready to ignore the fact that sometimes its a bit unrealistic as in tamil movies…may be a way to attract tamil audience…But I think no one will really care that when you are completely immersed in the magic of a powerful film…

I should not forget Padmapriya when she has done a great job which no other actress in malayalam is capable of doing…I strongly think so…Never did Malayalam give the “Action heroine” status to anyone(an exception can be Vani Viswanath anyway)…Its time we have received one of those kind through this film…But I really feel bad about the fact that her final super action sequences has been cut pitilessly in most of the theatres…A spectator has the right to know where an important character in the film has disappeared towards the end of the film…

The action scenes are the best we have ever seen in a malayalam film…Thanks to Ravi Diwan, the action director…Manoj.K.Jayan who has proved a great actor in his very first film itself was being ignored for some reasons all through these years…I am happy that director has done justice to him in this movie…

Two songs in this film are good…They might not become hit, yet good…I would recommend everyone to see this film in a theatre with good sound systems…Let the hardwork of Resul Pookkutty dont get wasted…

Overall,a great movie…One of the kind which would never happen again in Malayalam Cine world…So people, what are you waiting for?…hurry…book your tickets today itself…

Let me say one punch dialogue before someone kick me out…I wont get sleep otherwise…
    “Pazhassiyude yudhangal company kaanan pokunnatheyullu”…
Let me continue my fighting with East India Company soldiers in my dreams tonight…:)
